Recently, the international investment promotion team of Tuoba City took part in three major exhibitions—the China–South Asia Expo, the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), and the China-Eurasia Expo—yielding significant results in attracting new countries. A two-member delegation led by Miguel Lecaro Bárcenas, Ambassador of the Arab League to China, made their first visit from June 30 to July 1. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the overall planning, operational model, and investment policies of Tuoba City. The Ambassador noted that three core factors—Datong’s cultural DNA, its status as a premier tourist destination, and its strategic location—will heavily contribute to the project's success. The two parties reached a consensus that the Representative Office of the Arab League in China will promote Tuoba City to its 22 member states.
Ms. Soudthida Hoongsengpha, Economic Counselor of the Embassy of Laos in China, along with the First and Second Secretaries, paid their first visit to Tuoba City from July 1 to July 3. The delegation conducted on-site inspections of the layout and planning of the National Products Pavilions and held detailed discussions regarding merchant entry.
Meanwhile, a delegation of eight long-time friends of Tuoba City—including Minister Counselors and Economic Counselors to China from Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, and Honduras—also visited from July 1 to July 3. The primary focus for these three countries was to further deepen collaboration with Tuoba City by signing official Letters of Support and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). Burkina Faso pledged full support to facilitate employment opportunities for its international students at Tuoba City and to establish its own National Products Pavilion.
Additionally, newly visiting merchants from Iran successfully signed an entry agreement on July 2 to establish the Iran National Products Pavilion in Tuoba City.
