Tuoba City's International Bazaar Named a Top 3 Cultural Highlight for Datong's 2026 Spring Festival and Lantern Festival
The official Cultural Activities Plan for Datong's 2026 Spring Festival and Lantern Festival has recently been released.
Tuoba City’s flagship event, “World Goods, One Datong: Showcase Your Best in the Golden Week Bazaar,” stood out for its strong cultural identity and international commercial appeal, earning a place on the city’s list of key cultural activities and ranking among the top three.
The event will take place from February 18 to 25 in the core area of Tuoba City, located within Qingyuan Gate of Datong Ancient City. More than 50 high-quality merchants from over 30 countries, including Belt and Road partner nations, will participate. Exhibits will span a wide range of categories such as traditional handicrafts, home décor, jade and jewelry, and ethnic apparel, offering residents and visitors an immersive experience that bridges ancient heritage with global cultures.
As one of Datong’s flagship cultural tourism integration projects, the International Bazaar will be deeply incorporated into the citywide Spring Festival cultural program, creating strong synergies with other themed events. The market is expected to attract large visitor flows to the ancient city, significantly boosting cultural tourism consumption during the Spring Festival Golden Week. It will also provide an efficient platform for both domestic and international merchants, allowing visitors to enjoy a one-stop experience of “exploring the world and shopping globally” without leaving the city.
According to reports, the event has received coverage from major media outlets, including The Beijing News(https://www.bjnews.com.cn/detail/1770181198031191.html).
