Datong and Wuxi Unite to Write a New Chapter in Cultural Tourism

WUXI, China— The "Eternal Symphony: 2026 Lingshan Museum Season & Yungang Grottoes World Cultural Heritage Special Exhibition" recently opened at Lingshan Grand Buddha in Wuxi. As a highlights of the event, Lingshan Grand Buddha launched a free admission policy for citizens of Datong, marking a powerful collaboration between the two historic and cultural cities.

From now until August 31, citizens of Datong (with ID numbers starting with 1402) can make real-time online reservations through the "Lingshan Grand Buddha" (Lingshan Shengjing) mini-program. Visitors can enter the park for free after on-site ID verification. Each ID is limited to one free ticket, which covers full admission to the entire scenic area.

Wuxi's Lingshan Grand Buddha is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The iconic Lingshan Grand Buddha stands 88 meters tall, making it the world's tallest standing bronze Shakyamuni Buddha statue. The Lingshan Buddhist Palace on site is renowned as a magnificent art palace that seamlessly blends Buddhist culture, architectural art, and modern technology, earned its reputation as a "contemporary treasure of Buddhist art." The hosting of the Yungang Grottoes special exhibition serves as a beautiful continuation of the deep friendship between these two historic capitals.
